Oblivious

Yesterday, in the library, the table I sat at began a raucous conversation about the “violent education system”, and how it focuses on academia but not total knowledge or ability. It was a fantastic way to procrastinate and “stick it to the man” while not really whinging about our ridiculous assignments.

As those speaking got more honest and passionate, sharing their deepest darkest fears and insecurities I noticed husbandsylv, who was sitting at the table with us and had been silent up until this point, furiously cleaning a spot on his laptop. When I pointed this out, he looked up, seemingly oblivious to the discussion that had been raging for the last 15 minutes.

I love how we are so different and I love that he can still surprise me.
